Leanne Cole does a Monochrome Madness Challenge every week and Laura Macky’s entry this week was of a house hold item that many use on a daily basis. This inspired me to post a couple of photos I had taken awhile back of lights in my house that I thought turned out decent as monochrome for people to see. I also thought that this would also be an opportunity to say that a good way to get some practice and get better is to just look for things around the house that could possibly create an interesting photo if taken at the right angle or the right DOF. For those up for a challenge may like this as it is a way to make you think more about how to get that shot. I personally enjoy photography exercises like this as the more you do it, the easier it is to see photos when out in the field and you tend to keep more shots that you take rather than delete them.
