As some of you can tell through my photos I tend to try to take the non-traditional approach. The sunset was nice but I didn’t want to just set up and snap a shot with the sun and sky in focus, although I did later on after this photo was taken. I looked around at my closer surroundings and was able to create a scene that still included the sun, but not as the main subject. I wish I was able to get more sunrise/sunset photos.
I love this. Rocks and a sunset…yes, please. My husband and I are geologists π

Thanks Laura! I used my 28mm 1.8 lens for this. I have found that even though this lens has a great shallow DOF and is the lightest one I’ve got, I tend to not use it as much. I think it works well for bokeh shots though.

You’re welcome! I have a 35mm 1.8 and love that lens! I challenge myself sometimes to only carry that one. It really makes one think of how to take a shot sometimes.
