Spring had just arrived and all the snow was melting everywhere. Not only did we have a colder than normal winter here in Wisconsin, but there was a lot of snow as well. Since I have lived here, usually there are some warmer days in the winter that allow some of the snow build-up to melt off during the winter, but this winter that did not happen. The result is that when spring arrived, there were large amounts of snow. This photo shows how quite a few fields looked after the melting of this snow.
Oh wow this is awesome! There is blue everywhere! NICE job!!!

Thanks Amy! Blue is my favorite color and that is my favorite aspect of this photo. I also love wooden fences and posts so that’s another thing I love about this photo.

I Love the blue about this photo and how the clouds are relected in the water. Oh, it is just delicious! Yes, the posts make the photo complete. It’s perfect! Love, Amy

You have made a common subject and setting special with a very tricky composition 🙂

Thanks Sreejith! It was difficult as I had a difficult time trying to get into position around puddles of water and getting the shot I wanted without a tripod available.

Hey Justin, great shot as always! The blues are so vibrant, and they’re such a nice complement to the earthy tones in the post and land scattered throughout the background. Lots to digest visually in this shot.

Thanks Shane! As I was driving around this day I knew I wanted to get a shot to show how much water was in the fields but I didn’t want just any photo. Once I seen this place though I knew I’d get the shot I wanted.

Thanks! I’m sure the farmers around the area didn’t mind too much as last year there was somewhat of a drought so it was a good start to this year with plenty of water to get the grass growing for the cows.

So what looked like a potential tragedy was really a boon to the farmers – fantastic! I love a happy ending.

Thanks Patti! I passed many fields that day trying to find one that would give me the shot that I wanted. I’m glad I came across this one.

Thanks Cybele! Take all the time you need as they won’t be going anywhere soon. I try to add a new photo daily so hope you are able to keep up. I also try to do an additional learning post once a week. I’ve kind of set that for Wednesdays. At first it was just any day I was able to get it done but find that some organization helps with keeping on track. I have more of a technical mindset so having structure always works best for me. So far I’ve got 200+ photos up. Throughout the rest of the summer I’ll be adding another 100+ photos. Happy viewing! 🙂
