I was out yesterday morning checking out some falls when I decided to get out my macro lens to take photos of the flowers as there were a variety. There were a lot of these little bees around and they were just fine with me there. It was a bit windy so I had to make sure I had a faster shutter speed to capture them. I used a tripod so after I got it where I wanted all I had to do was wait for the wind to die down a little just enough for me to snap a shot. Instead of relying on auto-focus, I shot this in manual focus which allowed me a better chance to get a good shot. I’m really enjoying using my macro lens a lot more now.

    • Thanks Leanne! You’ll get a macro lens one day. I think it is a great investment. I’m hoping to be able to start getting into stacking sometime in the next couple months or so. I still haven’t decided which application to get for this yet but will be doing quite a bit of research and possibly trying some trial periods for different applications when I’m ready to purchase. I’m hoping to find something that not only specializes in stacking but also is good for star trails and hopefully other things as well. I know Photoshop CS would be good but I’m willing to pay a subscription price or full price for the last full version you could get without a subscription.
