As winter turns to spring the snows melt and the water levels start to rise. The ground is still partially frozen so it can’t soak up all the water quickly. Where can this water go but to areas in which it causes flooding. But the surge of water is good for the land as it will help bring plants back to life and move the nutrients around in the soil.
