Went out for a drive one weekend down back roads just looking for stuff to shoot. First time I’ve done that but it was fun. I seen this tree and with it being in a field with nothing else up so high I knew I had to capture it. I ended up kneeling a little lower and using my 105mm macro lens in order to get the shallower DoF where there are some weeds out of focus in front and behind the tree.

    • Thanks Cybele! Hope you have a great New Year! I’ve recently ordered a pair of wading boots and will be ordering some dry pants in the coming weeks. It will be nice to be able to walk into and across shallow rivers and streams to get better shots. There’s been many times I’ve wished I had something in these events and now I will. 🙂
